Big Taste, Small Town

The first time I stepped into Harvest I was greeted by the amazing aromas that came out of the kitchen in this inviting and warm historic home that has been converted into a restaurant. Harvest is nestled on Main Street in Oxford, NC. The chef and owner, James Dutra can be found in the kitchen working hard to create simple, yet elegant lunch dishes that are packed full of flavor. James’ use of locally sourced ingredients and a menu that changes daily makes Harvest my favorite lunch spot and well worth the drive out to Oxford.

After spending some time with James it is easy to see that he is not only loved by all of the locals, but his restaurant is always filled with pleased patrons. James’ easy going personality and desire to use locally sourced ingredients makes him a perfect fit for our Gala. We are beyond honored that Chef James is one of our featured chefs. Chef James has already begun curing the proscuitto that will accompany his dish. He has rounded up some colleagues that will work with him to present a masterful dish. I wish I could share with you what he plans to prepare but there are some things that I have to keep secret until closer to the event. I can tell you that I am very excited about what he has planned!

If you ever find yourself in Oxford or the surrounding area I highly encourage you to stop at Harvest. They are only open for lunch Monday thru Friday, I can promise you will not be disappointed!
