At our April 29 Taste for a Cure Gala, look for a sweet course from Andia Xouris. Andia’s Homemade Ice Cream is a woman-owned and family operated ice cream production, catering, concession, retail and wholesaling business located in the heart of The Triangle. The business was started in 2013 by Andia, her husband George, and their teenage children, Alyssa and Alex.
Traveling around the U.S. investing in many different schools and training programs, including the American Culinary Institute and Frozen Dessert Institute, Andia learned the fine art of premium frozen dessert creation. She uses the best ingredients available, sourced from all over the world – and locally when in season – to produce her homemade, premium ice cream, vegan ice cream and sorbet. Andia’s team serves at weddings and corporate and personal events of all sizes. Her ice cream can also be found in Andia’s retail shop in western Cary, as well as Aloft hotels, and on the menus of some of the area’s finest caterers and restaurants.
Andia has been on the cover of Cary Magazine, and the business was recently voted WRAL’s Voter’s Choice Award for Best Local Ice Cream and won Cary Magazine’s Maggy Award for Best New Business. Their most humbling honor was the red-ribbon national placement of their French vanilla ice cream!
